Is your 8th grader ready for high school? Connections is a great opportunity for incoming freshmen to get a jump on high school. Students will learn the ins and outs of Roosevelt and earn 0.5 credits towards graduation (that is the same amount that you earn for a semester long class!). On Thursday, April 17, JROTC had their Sioux Falls Combined Annual Pass-in-Review. Roosevelt hosted and welcomed Lincoln and Washington JROTC Corps. Dr Stavem was their guest speaker and she delivered an outstanding speech on growth! It perfectly punctuated the year! Thanks to all the staff and administrators who support our program and students. We couldn’t do this without all of you! Thank you to the families for allowing us to be a part of your students lives. We truly enjoy our role and the impact this program can have!

RHS students attended the "Let's Talk Work" Convention, hosted by the Transition Services Liaison Project at Sanford. The students learned employment skills, work advocacy, transition opportunities, and job interviews! What an amazing opportunity for our students!

Last Thursday, our sophomores had the amazing opportunity to visit Southeast Technical College and explore a wide range of hands-on programs and career paths! From welding to healthcare, graphic design to engineering, students got a firsthand look at the incredible opportunities available after high school. Last week, we wrapped up an amazing Choose to Include Week with an inspiring Choose to Include Assembly that brought our school together! 🙌 It was AWESOME seeing both students and staff participate in the dress-up days and show their support for inclusivity and kindness.
